Student Organizations
Student Self-Government, Student Association ”Juvenes” and Student Association ”Feniks”.
In addition to statutory obligations such as, e.g. protection of students’ rights and interests, they organize events integrating the community of students. It is a tradition of SLPA to organize yearly such parties as Initiation Ceremonies for the first year students (Otrzęsiny), Holiday of Student Pranks (Juwenalia), St Andrew’s Eve Parties (Andrzejki), or Halfway Point Parties (Półmetek). They have become very popular events in the region.
The “Esemes” Newsletter.
An evocative Student Magazine, a bimonthly of SLPA students. A reader of “Esemes” will find there interesting interviews, reviews, features, news from student life, information how to search work abroad, etc.
Scientific associations.
There are two scientific associations at SLPA: European Scientific Association and Scientific Association of Administrative and Classical Lawyers. Activity in the associations gives an opportunity to enhance one’s interests, to gain knowledge and to have good fun. Students themselves organize conferences, camps and events, during which they meet new people, enjoy themselves and gain experience.
Student Ombudsman.
SLPA students, as very few in Poland, have their own ombudsman. He/she is elected by students and watches observance of their rights.
School Club of the Academic Sports Union
Or a multisection sports club that organizes activities, competitions and tournaments. Within the ASU there are several sections. They are: of volleyball, futsal, aerobics, kick boxing, swimming, and a total novelty – climbing.
Student Club
Is best known because of Cabaret Thursdays. In the club students willingly organize various events, e.g. election of the Miss, shows of fashion and make-up, or meetings with interesting people. Concerts, discos and cabaret shows take place there.
Student Theatre
The theatre is a place where sensitive people may fulfil their need for a contact with poetry, prose and drama. Students committed to the theatre prepare occasional performances and shows.
Association of Graduates.
The aim of the association is integration of communities where graduates work, and also keeping contacts between the School graduates. The members expect mutual exchange of professional experiences and financial support of graduates and students who are in special needs.
The activity of student organizations at SLPA is financed primarily from the budget that is awarded yearly by the School authorities.
